On Wednesday, a Special National Investigation Agency (NIA) Court denied the house arrest for dismissed Police Inspector Sachin Waze.
Waze is a prime accused in the Antilia Bomb Scare Case and Mansukh Hiran Murder Case and he himself had requested to keep in him in house arrest for three months because of his open-heart surgery which had been conducted at a private hospital on September 13.
Special Judge AT Wankhede passed the Order to private hospital stating to not discharge Waze till today after listening to both the sides.
Advocate Rounak Naik who was representing Waze argued that the condition of Jails is very poor and Waze has to go back there if he will be denied the relief.
Naik also argued that the Court must consider the medical condition of Waze and must adopt a humanitarian approach.
In its response, NIA argued that having a house arrest is equal to having an Interim Bail and also stated that there is no guarantee that the accused will not abscond.
After hearing to both the sides, the Court ordered that Waze will be kept in the Prison Hospital Cell and allowing some relief the Court also ordered that the home-made food will be allowed there.
The case is about recovery of around 20 explosives and a threat note in a Scorpio near Antilia, which is the house of industrialist Mukesh Ambani which also followed the murder of businessman Mansukh Hiran.
