- He is currently heading the data protection bill which will frame rule against data protection framework.
- He also headed the’ SRIKRISHNA COMMISSION ‘which investigated causes and blame for Bombay riots in 1992-93.
- He also headed the sixth Central Commission set by Union Government.
- He also headed one- man commission on Madras High Court incident.
- He also submitted an interim report while he was chairman of five member committee constituted for separate Telangana where they submitted their report.

BACKGROUND- SRIKRISHNA was son of B. Naryanaswamy who was a lawyer in Bombay high court and did his education from Bombay. He is married to Purnima who is an expert on architecture, art, and iconography and has two daughters Sushma and Soumya.
UPBRINGING EDUCATION – He was brought up in Mumbai. He knows ten languages including his mother tongue Kannada while savant of art, culture, drama and classical music. He graduated with bachelor’s degree in science from the Elphinstone College from University of Bombay. He did his L.L.B from Government Law College Mumbai and L.L.M from University of Bombay where he stood second. He has also did diploma in Urdu and post graduation diploma in Indian Aesthetics and MA in Sanskrit
WALK OF LIFE AS JURIST – In 1967 he entered private practice in Bombay High Court, where he was a counsel to various corporations. He also argued in Supreme Court of India and was designated the Senior Advocated in 1987. In 1990, he was appointed an Additional Judge of Bombay High Court and permanent Judge in 1991. While in 2002, he was designated as chief justice of Kerala High Court. He was also chairman to various committees like Bombay riots in 1992-93. In 2006, he retired from Supreme Court of India abiding by the rules. After retirement he headed many committee such as the sixth pay commission in 2006-08, probed the madras high court riots in 2009. From 2011-13, he was head of financial sector legislative reforms committee and he was also designated as the chairman of the financial planning standards board of India in 2014. He headed the expert committee on arbitration of India in 2017and also drafted the data protection bill. In 2018, he headed the internal probe into claims of conflict of interest in ICICI bank in the past. He has been a director of national stock exchange of India and director of NSDL e- governance infrastructure ltd and national securities depository ltd.
REMARKABLE ACHIEVEMENT – He is the only Judge in the list of 21 Indian Arbitrators with SIAC.
