Orissa High Court recently started the live Streaming of Court Proceedings of the Bench of Chief Justice on Trial Basis.
The High Court has also started multiple ‘e-Services’ such as Online Payment of fines in Cases before District and Subordinate Courts, High Court’s Mobile App, etc in Cuttack-Bhubaneswar Commissionerate Area.
While addressing a gathering of Judges, the Advocate General, and other Stakeholders via video conferencing, Justice S. Muralidhar stressed the intended benefits of relying on Technology in the day-to-day work of the Judicial System.
Justice Muralidhar focused on the need to work with solidarity among Judicial Officers and members of the Bar to fulfill the expectations a common man has from the Justice Delivery System.
Justice Muralidhar informed that Live Streaming will start in his Courts on Trial Basis. He stressed the fact that the ultimate aim of resorting to Live Streaming is to improve accessibility and transparency of Court Proceedings.
The Advocate General of Orissa also praised the technological advancements made by the High Court under the guidance of the Chief Justice and the Information Technology Committee of the High Court.
