Four Judges took the oath of office as Judges of the Delhi High Court on February 28.
This makes the total strength of the Delhi Court reach 34 against the sanctioned strength of 60.
Chief Justice D N Patel administered the oath of office to Justices Neena Bansal Krishna, Dinesh Kumar Sharma, Anoop Kumar Mendiratta, and Sudhir Kumar Jain.
Justice Krishna was serving as the Principal District and Sessions Judge at Saket District Court in Delhi, whereas, Justice Sharma was the Principal District and Sessions Judge of Patiala House Court and earlier he was the Registrar General of the Delhi High Court.
On the other hand, Justice Mendiratta was serving as the Union Law Secretary in the Law Ministry and he was a sitting District Judge when appointed Law Secretary.
Further, Justice Jain was posted as the Principal District Sessions Judge cum Special Judge at Rouse Avenue Court.
The Supreme Court Collegium on February 01 had approved the proposal of 6 Judicial Officers to be elevated as the Delhi High Court Judges and out of those 6 names, the Centre had approved the above listed 4 names for elevation.
