Chief Justice of India, D Y Chandrachud, emphasized the significance of gender sensitization and the development of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) skills during the unveiling of the training calendar for apex court officials for the year 2023-2024.
The training calendar includes induction training for newly recruited officers, imparting legal nuances, ICT, and language skills, among other aspects, as mentioned in a statement by the Supreme Court.
Addressing the inaugural session of the year-long training program, Chief Justice Chandrachud highlighted the importance of empathy and compassion in the interactions of court officials with the public.
He emphasized that the training program would not only enhance their job performance but also contribute to their personal growth.
Furthermore, the Chief Justice reaffirmed his commitment to transforming the Supreme Court into a fully digitized and paperless institution.
As part of the training program, a one-day workshop on leadership and ethics for apex court officials was conducted on Saturday. The workshop was organized in collaboration with the Indian Institute of Public Administration (IIPA).
