BACKGROUND –
Sadhan Pande was born on 13th November, 1950 to Late Brojeshwar Pande. He is married to a women who is a businesswoman and has a daughter namely Shreya Pande who is in the modelling sector. He used to be a member of INC from 1979 to 1999 then left after defeat in 1989 and then a member of TMC from 1999 to present.
He won 6 elections from Burtola constituency till 2011 after it was dissolved. His present constituency is Maniktala assembly and is currently the minister for Consumer Affairs & Self Help Group & Self-Employment in the Government of West Bengal.
MAJOR INITIATIVES-
- Organized the Raj Sabala Mela in Bengal to promote the creations of self-help groups (SHG).
- Took the initiative of Muktidhara scheme so as to help women operated SHGs and to elevate the EWS.
