BACKGROUND – Kamlesh Dhanda is the Women and Child Development Minister of Haryana. She was elected as MLA from Kalayat constituency of Haryana in 2019 as a member of BJP. She also has Independent Charge of Archives Department.
She is the wife of Narsingh Dhanda, ex Cabinet Minister of Haryana as well as 2 times MLA. She is full time politician as well as social worker. Kamlesh Dhanda is an extremely capable and inventive member from the Haryana BJP Party. She is an incredible pioneer and a genuine example of women empowerment. She generally looks towards advancement and supports youth for ability improvement.
MAJOR INITIATIVES – Woman and Child Development Minister Kamlesh Dhanda invited applications for State Level Award for Women such as Indira Gandhi Mahila Shakti Puraskar, Kalpana Chawla Shaurya Award, Behen Shanno Devi Panchayati Raj Award, Lifetime Achievers’ Award and ANM/Nurse/Women MPW (two awards) and female players, to give recognition to those women who have worked towards women empowerment by doing outstanding work in different fields and proving to be exemplary role models. Cash amount ranging from Rs 21,000 to Rs 1.5 lakh would be given as a citation.
She also awared anganwadi workers with an extraordinary performance for the welfare of women and children in the state.
