BACKGROUND –
Joba Majhi was born in Chakradharpur, West Singhbum on 24th May, 1960 and is currently 61 years old. She was married to now late Devendra Majhi who was the leader of Singhbum’s Jungle Andolan.
She is a tribal MLA and therefore tries improving the condition of local tribes and that they get their rights. She is a two-time MLA from Manoharpur constituency and currently is the Minister of Women and Child Development of state of Jharkhand
