Driving a car or a bike requires adherence to traffic rules. Failure to do so can lead to trouble, including hefty fines. However, if you have received a challan, you can get it waived. Lok Adalats, including in Delhi, are being organized where many cases, including traffic challans, will be resolved.
How to Register Online?
Before registering online, you should know that you can settle your E-Challan in Lok Adalat. However, you need to take an online appointment first. Slots for the Lok Adalat on May 11 will open on May 7. You will have to visit the Delhi Police notice site (https://traffic.delhipolice.gov.in/notice/lokadalat) for this. However, this site is currently closed.
After reaching the site, you will have to select your locality and then the court will be displayed. There will be many slots available here. You will have to enter all the information here. After taking an appointment, only one challan for a vehicle will be settled. If you want to settle more challans, you will have to take more than one appointment.
Appointment Booking-
The page will open at 10 a.m. on May 7. However, during the appointment, you will have to pay attention to the time. Because if you are late, you will not get a slot. This is because slots fill up very quickly. These slots are open for only a few minutes. During this time, you will have to make all the bookings. Once the booking is done, you will have to go to court on May 11. After reaching there, the judge will decide how much you have to pay. In many cases, the entire challan is also waived.
