Madhya Pradesh High Court recently issued notices to Kareena Kapoor Khan and the book’s sellers in response to a petition filed by advocate Christopher Anthony. Justice Gurpal Singh Ahluwalia presides over the case, questioning Kapoor Khan’s rationale behind incorporating “Bible” in the memoir’s title.

Bollywood star Kareena Kapoor Khan, renowned for her candidness about motherhood and pregnancy, has been a vocal advocate for women’s health issues. Her book, “Kareena Kapoor Khan’s Pregnancy Bible: The Ultimate Manual for Moms-To-Be,” reflects this ethos, offering valuable guidance and insights for expecting mothers.

However, the title sparked legal contention in 2021, drawing criticism and a subsequent legal notice for its use of the word “Bible.”

The petitioner, representing sentiments of the Christian community, contends that the title’s comparison to the sacred text is offensive and inappropriate.

Despite the legal scrutiny, both lower and additional sessions courts previously dismissed complaints against the book, citing no grounds for offense. In “Kareena Kapoor Khan’s Pregnancy Bible,” readers gain insights into Khan’s pregnancy journey along with expert advice on nutrition, fitness, self-care, and nursery preparation. Khan’s fans can anticipate her return to the screen in upcoming films like “Singhan Again” and Hansal Mehta’s “The Buckingham Murders.”
