A Special NDPS Court denied Bollywood Actor Armaan Kohli’s Bail Application in a Drug case. The Bail Application was denied by Judge A A Joglekar. There was no precise order available at the time.

The Actor was detained on August 29 as a raid was conducted by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB). During the raid, narcotics were seized from the Actor’s home and an investigation was launched.

The Actor’s lawyers contended that only a little amount of drugs were allegedly seized from his possession, arguing that this is a minor offence.

The NCB objected to the Application, alleging that the Actor had direct ties to two of the Case’s main suspects, from whom a considerable “Commercial” amount of contraband was confiscated.

Offences involving commercial amount (which varies for different illegal substances) are punishable more severely under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.

Previously, a Magistrate Court had denied Bail to the Actor.

The actor had featured in many Hindi films including Salman Khan’s blockbuster ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Paayo’ and the TV reality show ‘Big Boss.’
