A Sessions Court in Maharashtra’s Sindhudurg District denied an Anticipatory Bail to BJP MLA Nitesh Rane in an Attempt to Murder Case.
Further the Accused in connection with an alleged attack on one Santosh Parab (44) claimed in the application that he had been falsely implicated in the case and was being targeted due to political rivalry.
Furthermore, Special Public Prosecutor Pradeep Gharat alleged before the Court that Police have collected sufficient evidence to prove that Nitesh Rane was in connection with the Attack.
Advocate Sangram Desai representing Nitesh Rane argued that he was being falsely implicated in the case so that he could not campaign in the election of the District Cooperative Bank.
Earlier, in a winter session of the Maharashtra Legislature, Nitesh Rane had mocked Shiv Sena Minister Aaditya Thackeray by mimicking the cat’s sound on the Legislature premises.
Nitesh Rane is the son of Union minister Narayan Rane and represents Kankavli Assembly Seat in the Sindhudurg District.
Previously, Narayan Rane was held in association with his claimed ‘slap’ remarks against Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray. The remarks directed into a conflict of words between Rane and Shiv Sena.
