Former Kerala Police Officer, S Vijayan, alleged in Kerala High Court on Wednesday that the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) scientist Nambi Narayanan influenced the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into the 1994 Surveillance Case in association with him by initiating Land Deals worth crores with the then Investigating Officials.
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is investigating Vijayan along with 17 other former Kerala Police and Intelligence Bureau officials, who are held of dishonestly implicating Narayanan and others in the 1994 Espionage Case.
S Vijayan’s Advocate informed Justice R Narayana Pisharadi of the Kerala High Court on Wednesday that he had submitted Encumbrance Certificates of several acres of land in the Tirunelveli District of Tamil Nadu that recognized Narayanan or his son as the Power of Attorney Holders.
Further, Vijayan argued in the High Court that the lands were sold to CBI officials, pertaining that this material was adequate for the Trial Court to pass a Notification for a Probe under the Prevention of Corruption Act against Nambi Narayanan and Agency Officials.
