Snehal Upadhyay-
The Lyca productions producers of Indian-2 starring Kamal Haasan have moved to Hyderabad Court, a petition is already pending before the Madras High Court hence it’s the different one and has nothing to do with the petition in the Hyderabad Court.
Lyca Productions had moved to a single judge bench for directing Shankar, the actor to complete the shooting of Indian-2 and restrained him from taking up any other project by making him sign a bond, till then. As the Court did not pass any order as prayed for, it approached the first bench with the present appeal.
Holding that any order might precipitate the matter, the bench on 22 April had directed the parties to sit together and settle the issue harmoniously.
When the matter came up again later, Shankar’s senior counsel told the judges that no solution came out from the meeting.
While Shankar had already taken a bulk of dates for other projects after June, for which Kamal Haasan had also agreed, Lyca insisted that Shankar signed a bond to the effect that he would not take up any other project.
The bench posted that the matter will be heard after summer vacation.
When the matter came up before the bench on Wednesday, the constraints remained the same with the senior counsels for both the parties accusing each other for the stalemate.
The bench has adjourned the matter by three more weeks.
