Jharkhand High Court and other courts in the state will resume physical hearings today.

All Jharkhand courts were functioning virtually during and after the lockdown in order to curb the spread of the virus.

Lawyers and several others that were dependent on the courts demanded the resuming of the physical hearing.

The decision to resume physical hearing was taken by chief justice Dr. Ravi Ranjan and the core committee members while reviewing the situation to reach a decision as to when and what would be the right time for resuming physical court hearings.

The decision was welcomed by the State bar council chairman Rajendra Krishna and vice-chairman Rajesh Shukla.

The court has decided to start functioning based on the COVID-19 guidelines issued by the Union and state government.
