Recently, the Madras High Court has been approached by a man seeking permission to sit on an indefinite fast for the disclosure of former TN CM Jayalalithaa’s will.
The bench of Justice G.K Ilanthairaiyan on Monday heard the plea and directed the Government to verify such representations made by the petitioner pending before the Collector or concerned authorities.
Soundararajan, the petitioner, submitted that he had been providing particular services to the Former CM of Tamil Nadu, Late Jayalalithaa, by booking newly constructed villas on her land.
He also contended that after the death of the former CM, people who had paid amounts for booking homes had started insisting on repayment.
On communication with Mrs. V.K Sasikala, an assurance was given to people stating that Jayalalithaa had executed several wills in his favour and they were systematically registered at the Tat Sub Registrar’s office in Adyar and Velachery.
He highlighted that the contents of the will have yet not been made public. Even after several RTIs being filed in this regard, none of them have been answered. [D Soundararajan vs. Director General of Prosecution and others]
