In the Lakhimpur Kheri Case accused Ajay Mishra who is a son of Union Minister Ajay Mishra Teni has surrendered in Local Court.

The Supreme Court cancelled his Bail which was granted to him by Lucknow Bench of High Court.

Apex Court has given him a week’s time to surrender himself in the Lakhimpur Case where accused is alleged of running his vehicle over four farmers and a journalist during violence.

“He decided to surrender a day before the week-long time limit set by the Supreme Court,” Ashish’s Counsel Awadesh Kumar Singh said.

SP Yadav Senior Prosecution Officer said “Ashish Mishra surrendered in the court of remand magistrate Chinta Ram and was remanded to the Lakhimpur Kheri District Jail under Judicial Custody”.

In Order Supreme Court cleared that in future accused can reapply for the Bail but in front of different Bench of High Court.

The Supreme Court in Order slammed High Court for not giving an opportunity to the complainant to oppose the Bail Plea.

“The High Court has completely lost sight of the principles which conventionally govern a Court’s discretion when deciding the question whether or not to grant Bail,” the Court had said.
