On Tuesday, November 1, the Kerala High Court will introduce a number of measures pertaining to information and communication technologies.
SUVAS, an Al tool for translating District Court judgments and orders from English to Malayalam as well as vernacular judgments and papers from District Courts into English, stands out among the efforts that are planned for launch.
Tuesday at 9:45 a.m., Chief Justice S. Manikumar will officially unveil a Unique Neutral Citation number for the High Court of Kerala judgments dating back to 1949 in front of other justices at the High Court Banquet Hall.
According to a notice issued by the High Court, it has been decided to implement the Unique Neutral Citation Number for all judgments/CR marked interim orders issued since 1949, in the format <year of judgment uploaded>/KER/<number and for CR marked interim orders in the format <year of interim order uploaded>/KER/<number>.
While downloading the judgment/CR marked interim order from the case status tab on the High Court website, the distinct citation number assigned to each judgment will be automatically fetched and added there.
The opening of e-offices in the judicial districts of Thodupuzha and Kazargode will also take place during the event.
The Advocate General will participate in the inauguration ceremony via video conference, together with other law enforcement and judicial officials, advocates’ association representatives, and other stakeholders.
The High Court’s YouTube channel will also live-stream the programme.
