The Karnataka High Court has gotten on the case of the Karnataka State Pollution Board for the way they have been managing their complaints on clamor contamination. The High Court felt that the Board has been acting like a mailman while dealing with such grievances.

The Court took cognizance of the fact that the Board sent protests only to the Commissioner of Bangalore City Police and to the Commissioner of the BBMP.

The Division Bench noted the infectiveness of the Board and reprimanded the Senior Environmental Officer for the same. The Bench comprised of Chief Justice Abhay Shreeniwas Oka and Justice Govindaraj.

The Court stated,

“The Noise Pollution rules were outlined in advancement to the Environment Protection Act, 1986. Any infringement of the Rules is an offense under area 15 of the 1986 Act. Along these lines, it is the obligation of the provincial officials to put the criminal law into action by enlisting objections. The Senior Environmental Officer has acted like a mailman.”

The Court coordinated the Chairman of the KSPCB also the territorial officials to show up under the steady gaze of the Court on the mentioned date of hearing.

These perceptions were made by the Court while hearing a request documented through Advocate BN Jagadeesha looking for activity against unlawful utilization of speakers and amplifiers in strict spots disregarding the Noise Pollution Rules, 2000.

The CJ Oka led Bench said that the official should have enrolled an objection under the watchful eye of the Court as he can do as such under the arrangements of the 1986 Act.
