The United Nation’s International Court of Justice will conduct public hearing at Azerbaijan’s plead in the case concerning the Application of the International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination.
The International Court of Justice, the Principal Judicial Organ of the UN, will hold the said case on 14 and 15 October at the Peace Palace in the Hague, Netherlands.
Amidst the ongoing Pandemic of COVID-19, the hearing will take place in a hybrid format and representatives of the parties to the case will participate either in person or by the video link.
The case contends that for decades, Azerbaijan has subjected Armenians to racial discrimination and as a result Armenians are suffering from mass killing, torture and other abuses.
Azerbaijan has filed a similar suit against Armenia, accusing the latter of racial discrimination and ethnic cleansing.
