Applause resounds as Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud, Attorney General of India R Venkataramani, and Solicitor General Tushar Mehta extend their congratulations to IRSO and the scientific community for the successful soft-landing of Chandrayaan-3 on the Moon.
CJI Chandrachud lauded this momentous feat as a “historic achievement.”
“This lunar mission’s success elevates India to a distinguished league of nations that have achieved lunar surface landings. Its significance is magnified as India stands as the sole nation to accomplish a lunar landing at the South Pole,” remarked the CJI.
Justice Chandrachud added that this accomplishment promises fresh avenues for scientific exploration and discovery, marking a remarkable stride in the nation’s journey.
In parallel, Attorney General R Venkataramani portrayed the Moon-landing as a representation of India’s core values. He expressed, “Chandrayaan-3’s landing distinguishes itself. It encapsulates Bharat’s values, akin to our concept of vasudaiva kudumbakam landing on the Moon. Thus, it’s a day of immeasurable national pride.”
Further joining the chorus of praise, Solicitor General Tushar Mehta, speaking to India Today, highlighted, “India, under the dynamic leadership of our Prime Minister Shri Modi, is already embarking on a journey to excel in all aspects.”
He regarded this achievement as yet another testament to the country’s prowess, extending warm congratulations to the dedicated scientists, a significant number of whom are representatives of India’s powerful female force.
He expressed the sentiment that the entire nation takes immense pride in this accomplishment, reaffirming their pride in being Indian.
