The California’s Supreme Court Denied to entertain an Appeal of Brad Pitt in the case custody battle with ex-wife Angelina Jolie.
Through his Appeal filed, Brad Pitt requested the Court to review a Judgment of a Lower Court that will likely force both of them to Relitigate the custody of their kids.
The Court refused to review the Decision which also stated that the private Judge who is handling the Case should be disqualified for failing to explain his business relationships with Pitt’s Attorneys.
While denying the Appeal, the Court gave no explanation and just stated, “Petition for review & application for stay denied.”
Attorney Robert Olson, who was appearing for Jolie stated that they welcomed the Decision.
“Ms. Jolie is focused on her family and pleased that her children’s wellbeing will not be guided by unethical behavior. As reinforced by California’s Appellate Courts, our judiciary prioritizes ethics and children’s best interests, and won’t tolerate Judicial misconduct to reward the interests of a party. Ms. Jolie is glad for the family to now move forward cooperatively,” stated Olson.
About the ruling of Wednesday, a spokesperson of Pitt stated, “Technical procedural issue does not change the extraordinary amount of factual evidence which led the Trial Judge and the many experts who testified to reach their clear conclusion about what is in the children’s best interests.”
Adding to this, the spokesperson stated, “We will continue to do everything that’s Legally necessary based on the detailed findings of the independent experts.”
