Prime Minister Narendra Modi on August 10 while chairing the last Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) parliamentary meeting for the ongoing Monsoon Session stated that the newly inducted cabinet ministers will be going for Jan Ashirwad Yatra on August 16 and the rest of the union cabinet ministers will be going on August 19.

The primary aim of Ashirwad Yatra which will be held from August 16 to 20 is for the new 43 ministers to seek blessings of the common people and to connect with them at large.

Ministers have been tasked with apprising the public about various achievements of the BJP led Central government.  They have been asked to build a direct connection with the masses and party workers in their constituencies.

Information concerning government’s major health, social, economic and employment schemes is to be provided by the Ministers to the masses.

Advertisements, hoardings and banners will also be used for this purpose.

The Yatras will reportedly pass through three to four Lok Sabha constituencies and  four to five districts and will span a total distance of about 300-400 kms in 3 days.

The organizers of the Yatra have been asked to ensure that all necessary COVID-19 regulations are followed.

The starting point of the Yatras will be situated near the airports and railway stations in order to make sure that they commence on time and in smooth manner.

However, for Uttar Pradesh, the new ministers will be starting their Yatras in cars from Delhi.
