Supreme Court of Pakistan summons PM Bomb blast

The Supreme Court of Pakistan Summoned Prime Minister Imran Khan on 10th November 2021, for the 2014 Peshawar School terror attack by Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan.

A Coram of Three Judges- headed by Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Gulzar Ahmed, Justice Qazi Mohammad Amin Ahmed, and Justice Ijazul Ahsan summoned the Prime Minister around 10 am at the Court.

In the last hearing, the Bench directed Attorney General Khalid Jawed Khan to notify the Court about all the measures taken by the Government to Compensate for the grievances of the parents whose children were killed in the Army Public School Attack on the 16th of December 2014.

The Bench had Assured the parents of the children who died in the attack, that their demand would be met by the government.

In the hearing of 10th November 2021, the Bench questioned the Attorney General if the Prime Minister read the Court’s Order which directed the AG to take steps on the complaints of the Parents.

The Chief Justice passed an Order which stated, “The AG has been put on notice on the complaints and asked to take action, as required by the law, and if those who have been named are found guilty of Negligence in the performance of their duties, necessary measures should be taken.”

In the proceedings of 10th November 2021, the Attorney General accepted his mistake and stated in front of the Court that “The Order had not been sent to the premier,” adding that he would inform PM Imran Khan about the same.

The Chief Justice of Pakistan asked in response to the AG’s statement, “Is this the level of seriousness? Call the prime minister, we will talk to him ourselves. This cannot go on.”
