Cricket bookie Naresh Ramniklal Gor has files a bail application before the Special National Investigation Agency (NIA) Court who was arrested in connection with the murder of Thane trader Mansukh Hiran.

Naresh Gor claims that he was never contacted by suspended Mumbai Police officer Sachin Vaze. Sachin Vaze is a prime accused in the case.

The Special Court has asked the NIA agency to file a reply to Gor’s bail plea by April 27.

Gor is suspected of providing SIM cards to Vaze, one of which was supposedly used in commission of the Mansukh’s murder.

Gor in his bail plea has claimed that, on Vaze’s insistence, he has been made a scapegoat by the investigating agency.

“The CDR (call data records) of the applicant [Gor] will disprove the case of the investigating agency. There is no shred of evidence to show that the applicant was aware of any conspiracy, much less any knowledge as to the purpose for which the purported SIM cards were going to be used by Vaze,” Gor claimed in his bail plea.

Hiran was found dead on March 5 where his body was found floating in Mumbra creak who was allegedly murdered days after his SUV was found with explosives near industrialist Mukesh Ambani’s residence in February.

Gor on March 21 was arrested by the Maharashtra anti-terrorism squad (ATS) in connection with the murder of Hiran.

The NIA team is investigating the current murder case as well as the case related to recovery of the explosives.
