The National Academy of Legal Studies and Research (NALSAR), Hyderabad, always stands out as one of the best law schools in the country. NALSAR was among the first to offer a five-year integrated undergraduate law degree, as well as postgraduate and doctorate law degrees. Known for its highly competitive admissions process, the university admits approximately 132 students into its undergraduate law program from a pool of around 100,000 applicants, resulting in an acceptance rate of just 0.132%.
The LL.M. course in Insolvency & Bankruptcy Laws, offered by NALSAR in collaboration with the Indian Institute of Corporate Affairs (IICA, New Delhi), is a groundbreaking program designed to address the significant shortage of qualified bankruptcy professionals in India. Eligible candidates must hold an LL.B. degree or any other Bachelor’s degree in law with a minimum of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST candidates). Additionally, candidates seeking admission under the Resident Student of Telangana category must meet specific residency requirements in addition to the general eligibility criteria.
The two year LL.M. Program program spans two years, with the application process opening on April 15, 2024, and closing on June 15, 2024. Key dates include the online entrance examination on June 23, 2024, and the commencement of classes on July 22, 2024. Application fees vary by category, and all applications must be submitted online.
