The Bombay High Court dismissed interim relief to Republic TV anchor Arnab Goswami in the matter related to allegedly abetting suicide in 2018.

The bench of Justices S S Shinde and M S Karnik will hear the case tomorrow. It has further directed Goswami to make Anvay’s wife, Akshata Naik, the respondent to the plea.

Goswami was arrested for abetting the suicide of interior designer Anvay Naik in 2018 by Alibaug police.

He had earlier filed the petition against his “illegal arrest” and to quash the FIR lodged by Alibaug police in Maharashtra.

He was presented before the magistrate court in Alibaug and remanded in judicial custody. He is now at a local school in Alibaug which is a COVID-19 centre for prison.
