The Supreme Court dismissed the petition, challenging the Allahabad High Court Order, claiming the funds allotted for Covid relief being embezzled and diverted for other purposes.
The Court while dismissing the petition asked Senior Advocate Harshvir Pratap Sharma to make representation towards the authorities before rushing to the Courts.
While the Advocate contended that 9 people have died because of embezzlement, the Court questioned Sharma asking how people can lose life due to misappropriation of funds.
After the Court dismissed the petition, Sharma asked the Court if he could withdraw and make it a criminal charge.
