BACKGROUND – Sachin was born on 7th September 1997 in a Hindu family; His ancestral village is Vaidpura in Noida, Uttar Pradesh. He did his schooling from Air Force Bal Bharati School, New Delhi, he completed his Bachelor’s degree in English Literature from St. Stephen’s College (Delhi University), a diploma in marketing from I.M.T. Ghaziabad ,and he pursued his MBA with specialization in multinational management and finance at Wharton Business School (University of Pennsylvania, U.S.A).
He is fond of flying, and received his private pilot’s license from New York, USA in 1995. He was also interested in shooting and represented Delhi in many National rifle and pistol Shooting Championships.
He has also been commissioned as Lieutenant in the Territorial Army and known as Lieutenant Pilot for being an officer in the Territorial Army. He wrote a book on his father in 2001. Title of the book is “Rajesh Pilot: In Spirit Forever.”
He was initially employed in the Delhi Bureau of the British Broadcasting Corporation and then for two years with American multinational corporation General Motors . He married to Sara Abdullah daughter of former Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir Farooq Abdullah. In 2004 and in the same year Pilot contested in Lok Sabha elections and won from the Dausa constituency. And At the age of 26, he became the youngest Member of Parliament in India.

2004- In 2004, Pilot contested in Lok Sabha elections and won from the Dausa constituency. And at the age of 26, he became the youngest Member of Parliament in India.
2009- In 2009, he again contested in Lok Sabha elections and won the seat of Ajmer by defeating the Bharatiya Janata Party’s Kiran Maheshwari by a margin of 76,596 votes.
He was a member of the Sabha’s Standing Committee on Home Affairs and member of the Consultative Committee in the Ministry of Civil Aviation.
2012- During the second tenure of Manmohan Singh he became the Minister of Corporate Affairs In 2012,
2014- In 2014 Lok Sabha elections, he was again nominated from the Ajmer constituency and was defeated by by Bharatiya Janata Party’s sitting MLA Sanwarlal Jat. By a margin of 1, 71,983 votes
2018- In the 2018 Legislative Assembly elections, Pilot won from the Tonk seat, by a margin of 54,179 votes after defeating Yunus Khan.
CONTROVERSIES/CASES –
When Pilot won from the Tonk seat, in the 2018 Legislative Assembly elections, everyone expected hat Pilot would be given the post of Chief Minister. But On 17th December 2018, he was sworn in as Deputy Chief Minister of Rajasthan while Ashok Gehlot was anointed as the Chief Minister of the state.
But on 13th July 2020, a statement was issued by Pilot’s office saying that the government Ashok Gehlot was in a minority, after his controversial statement on 14 July 2020 The Indian National Congress(INC) , discharged Pilot’ from his post of Deputy Chief Minister and Rajasthan Congress President for his revolt against the party.
