BACKGROUND- Pulak Roy, a politician of India is cabinet minister in Mamata Banerjee’s Government. Currently, he is serving as the Public Health Engineering Minister of West Bengal.
Pulak is serving as MLA from the year 2011. In 2011, he contested assembly elections from Uluberia Dakshin constituency of Haora district and won.
Further, in 2016 also he was elected as Member of Legislative Assembly of West Bengal from the same constituency by defeating Ahmed Kutubuddin of AIFB’s. For the third time in a row, in the year 2021, he again contested legislative assembly elections and was re-elected.
When Mamata Banerjee’s government was formed in West Bengal after winning 2021 elections by defeating other parties, then Pulak Roy was appointed as Cabinet Minister and was given the responsibility of Public Health Minister.
