CONTROVERSIES – Since he was a part of the Judiciary and had joined a political party (BJP), his
reputation is sceptical in front of the people of India. Former Gujarat Chief Minister Sankarsinh Vaghela
tweeted against him and V. Chitambaresh (former judge of Kerala High Court) alleging a transgression of
the powers of the judiciary.
During his time as a judge, he constantly spoke against nepotism in the appointment of judges. At the
time of his retirement, he spoke against those who “vilify” the high court, calling them publicity seekers.
His comment was seemingly aimed at one of his colleagues, B. Kemal Pasha, who had alleged used
nepotism in the appointment of judges, and spoke against post-retirement jobs.
