Karnataka High Court demands report on action against illegal religious structures

As per the Supreme Court’s order, the Karnataka High Court has sought the State Government and BBMP (Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike) to submit complete data on action taken against illegal religious structures in public places.


The High Court has asked for the details by 11th December 2020.
Before the order of the Supreme Court, there were 100 illegal structures in the city.


A division bench headed by Chief Justice Abhay S Oka heard the suo motu PIL petition.


The top court has ordered the state to vandalise all the illegal structures in the city.
