The Supreme Court will hear a plea for the cancellation of the class 12th state board examination and will decide on what manner the assessment of the students will be done on 17th June.
The plea has been filed on behalf of 47 students from 23 different states and it’s been filed by Advocate Anubha Srivastava Sahai and seven others.
A division bench comprising Justices AM Khanwilkar and Dinesh Maheshwari will be hearing the plea tomorrow.
Along with this plea, the court will also hear a petition for the physical examination of the National Institute of Open Schooling exams.
The plea sought directions to the court to cancel class 12th state board exams and that the University Grants Commission (UGC) form a committee to prepare and discuss the methods of evaluation of the students.
The Apex Court on June 3, had already given orders to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and the Council for Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE) to come up with a well-defined method and objective criteria for the evaluation of the students within two weeks.
