On January 11, 2021, a special TADA/POTA(Prevention of Terrorism Act) court filed charges on Muhammad Yasin Malik. The pro-freedom leader is being charged with the kidnapping of Rubaiya Sayeed.
Unnamed authorities were quoted by the Kashmir News Observer, one of the local news agencies to have received reports on how a special judge framed these charges on Malik, in this case. They were done so by the third Additional Sessions TADA/POTA court judge.
In 2019, on the 16th of March, the presiding TADA Jammu court officer was the one responsible for framing the charges on Malik along with six other people for murdering 4 men of the IAF in 1990.
