A Delhi court has denied an Appeal by a sacked professor seeking the registration of a FIR under the SC-ST Act against the principal and professors of a Delhi University Institution for alleged casteist remarks, stating that the Case was filed to settle “Personal vindicta.”
The Terminated additional professor claimed that the college’s principal and four professors plotted to fire her by purposefully insulting and abusing her because of her Caste, Faking paperwork, and Fabricating records and Evidence.
“Since she has remained unsuccessful in all those proceedings, therefore, now in order to settle her personal vindicta, she has filed the present Case making all those allegations already made by her before Delhi High Court,” ASJ Aggarwal said.
In terms of the claims under the SC/ST Act, the complainant has not provided any specific instances in which she was ridiculed or humiliated by the principal or academics because of her Caste.
“Prima facie no Offence Under IPC and under SC/ST Act is made out. Accordingly, the concerned Police have rightly not registered the FIR on the complaint of the complainant. This Court also decline to take cognizance as no Offence is made out from the contents of the complaint filed by the complainant,” the Judge ordered.
