Dr Lalchandani Labs Limited, one of the three labs named in the FIR filed in the Kumbh fake testing case, challenged the legitimacy of the FIR before the Uttarakhand High Court.
The petitioner, the lab’s director, claims that they have been a victim of the media trial and that the FIR was filed as a result of immense media pressure.
On Thursday, the petition is expected to be heard before the Uttarakhand High Court.
According to the petitioner, the lab conducted a total of 12,010 quick antigen tests between April 1 and April 26, 2021, for which it charged Rs 206 for each test, which is a low rate.
Citing that a bill of Rs 24,74,060 was generated for this many tests and that there was no misappropriation of crores as stated in the media.
On the complaint of Chief Medical Officer, Haridwar, the FIR was filed on Thursday against the firm and two pathology laboratories in Haridwar district, citing false Covid tests and several other breaches during the Kumbh in April 2021.
