A plea filed by National Investigation Agency (NIA) seeking a request for custody of dismissed Mumbai Police officers Sachin Waze and Sunil Mane gets rejected by Special Court on Monday.
Sachin Waze and Sunil Mane are the two suspects in the Ambani Terror Scare Case.
Along with the plea getting rejected, it was also allowed by the Court for Waze to undergo treatment at a private hospital for his heart ailment.
The NIA had requested Waze and Mane’s custody last week, stating that they wanted to investigate the role of a suspect in the conspiracy.
The plea was opposed by the Defence lawyers mentioning that no newer ground has been provided by the NIA on the basis of which custody could be granted to them.
It was claimed by Waze’s lawyer that he has been facing serious health scare due to 90 percent blockage in three of his arteries and is advised for an immediate surgery by the doctors.
