The Crime Branch of Delhi Police brought Wrestler and two times Olympian Sushil Kumar to Chhatrasal Stadium and his flat in the capital for further questioning in the case of the death of wrestler Sagar Dhankar
“A team of Crime Branch investigating the case went to the Chhatrasal Stadium in connection with the probe. Sushil Kumar was also taken to the spot to recreate the scene of crime and ascertain the sequence of events that unfolded on the day of incident,” a senior police officer informed the news agency Press Trust of India.
The Crime Branch questioned the wrestler about the chain of events which unfolded on May 4, when a fight between him and Dhankar left the latter badly wounded who later succumbed to his injuries in the hospital and died.
The police then took the wrestler to the parking lot where the fight happened and the Forensic team after joining them collected the evidence from the spot. Later the police went to his flat and questioned him again.
The two time Olympian was finally arrested from Delhi’s Mundka area on May 24 along with his aid Ajay Kumar after they had been on the run for more than 18 days across several states.
