The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) asked for sanctions from the Allahabad High Court to Prosecute SN Shukla, former Judge of Allahabad High Court.
The CBI asked for Sanctions in a famous Corruption Case of admissions in medical college which was registered on December 4, 2019.
A Case was registered by CBI in 2019 against Shri Narayan Shukla, who was then sitting Judge of Allahabad High Court.
The CBI also registered a Case against retired Chhattisgarh High Court Judge IM Quddusi, and four others.
CBI registered the Case against all these 6 people for passing an Order in favor of a Lucknow-based Medical College in lieu of illegal gratification.
While conducting the investigation, the CBI found that Justice Shukla misused this authority and there were Illegal actions taken by him.
“A conspiracy was hatched at New Delhi between BP Yadav, Chairman of Lucknow-based Prasad Educational Trust, IM Quddusi, retired Justice of Hon’ble High Court of Chhattisgarh, Bhawana Pandey, a private person through Sudhir Giri of Venkateshwara Medical College (Meerut) in Order to obtain a favourable Order from Justice Shri Narayan Shula of High Court of Allahabad at Lucknow Bench by corrupt and illegal means. In furtherance of said conspiracy IM Quddusi engaged Justice Shri Narayan Shukla, for managing the Matter,” accused the CBI.
The name of Justice Shukla was also Recommended to Dipak Mishra, then Chief Justice of India, for Impeachment.
In the said case, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare barred the Prasad Institute of Medical Science from admitting students for two years (2017-2019) because of non-facilities.
However, when Prasad Institute moved to Allahabad High Court, a favorable Order was passed by then Justice SN Shukla.
When this Order of Justice Shukla was challenged by the Medical Council of India in the Apex Court, the probe revealed Justice Shukla guilty and following this CBI filed a Charge Sheet against him.
