The Calcutta High Court after Observing lapse in the Investigation on important aspect Ordered the Central Bureau of Investigation to Investigate the Hanskhali Rape and Murder Case.
The Bench directed the State government to protection to Witnesses and family of the victim and asked Central Bureau of Investigation to submit progress report till May 2.
“In order to instill confidence in the family members of the victim and also the residents of the locality and the State, the Investigation should be carried out by the Central Bureau of Investigation” Court said.
First Information Report mentions that Sohel Goyali who is the son Samar Goyali, Member of Panchayat from Trinamool Congress Party had invited 14-year-old student to his birthday party where she was forced to drink alcohol and later gang raped.
When she reached home in the morning she was badly injured and died on the same day. Cremated in night.
There is a suspicion Observed by the Bench as there was no Death Certificate. The Counsel argued that there is no Crematorium in the village and so Death Certificate is not issued.
Another specially abled woman raped by Trinamool Congress Panchayat Member in Midnapore. Trinamool Congress Members obstructed the way while family is rushing to hospital with the survivor.
